YES - Winner of Youth Initiative Award
Community Futures coordinates the Youth Empowerment Strategy(YES) which began as a set of summer 'Cyber Camps' as part of the Federal Communiiity Access Program and has grown to offer a wide range of inititives that respond to the interests and talents of youth participants year round.
The YES program is a youth strategy incorporating empowerment, personal growth and accomplishment for young people aged 10-15. The program was recognized with the top Youth Initiative Award for 2007 from the Ontario Association of Community Futures Development Corporations.
