The corporation was pleased to highlight another successful year and is excited to be celebrating 30 years providing programs and services to support enterprise, community-based development and employment in our region.
“At Community Futures we have had the pleasure of encouraging, developing and nurturing entrepreneurs by providing support and funding for the past 30 years. As an organization, we will continue to adapt and innovate in order to meet the needs of business and our communities today, and for the next 30 years,” said Mr. Etmanski, Chair of the Board of Directors.
“I congratulate the CFDC of North and Central Hastings and South Algonquin on 30 years of service to our small businesses and our community. The work that you have done is vital to ensuring the sustainability of our rural community by supporting jobs, which attract and retain people to our community. Your success is our community’s success, and I am proud of our government for dedicating $100 million in funding to support rural innovation in southern Ontario, including $15 million specifically for Eastern Ontario CFDCs. The results we see through CFDCs like yours are proof of how important it is to invest in rural Canadians.” – Mike Bossio, Member of Parliament for Hastings—Lennox and Addington
