Bancroft Fitness held its grand opening of the Bancroft Fitness Hydrotherapy Pool on August 21/2024
This project was developed in partnership with the Bancroft Community Family Health Team (BCFHT) to provide access to both Bancroft Fitness members and BCFHT patients. The pool offers options for physiotherapy, cardiac & pulmonary rehabilitation, and numerous physical fitness applications. The pool is outfitted with 2 water treadmills and adjustable current to create resistance.
CFDC was able to support the project by contributing funds to provide a separate security system which comprised of software, cameras and security door. The centre has an onsite practitioner room where the BCFHT physiotherapist operates from. The centre looks to potentially offering the space to outside practitioners in the future. The pool is the first of its kind in Hastings Prince Edward County region.
