CFDC was able to support The Stewards of Eagles Nest Park with Local Initiatve Program (L.I.P.) funding to develop a new nature-themed programming, create new connections between activities in the park and the local business community and make improvements to their online presence to help expand tourism for the park. 12 guided experiences: Nature Connects on Eagles Nest with Virginia DeCarle, 2 en plein sketching expeditions with artist John Christie, 2 guided therapy / forest bathing experiences with Marilyn Zehr, the geological story with Chris Fouts, the Indigenous story with Algonquin cultural coordinator Diane Martin and trail building 101 with Dave Naulls. 57 individuals participated. A swag bag was given to each participant which included coupons and gift certificates to local businesses.
