This project was aimed to replace the outdated and damaged signage at the Marmora Mine Site location which is a major tourist attraction in Marmora. The new signage is more durable and includes QR codes to lead visitors to shopping, food options and points of interest. Utilizing this technology will allow for the business directory to be updated on an ongoing basis and allow for ease of access for the visitor. With a high volume of visitors stopping at the site each year, they hope to encourage visitors to stop and stay awhile and support the local economy. The project received $2,100 through the Local Initiatives Program fund towards the design and final sign product.
