Local Initiative Program (L.I.P.)
Up to $3,000 for eligible Community Economic Development (C.E.D.) projects
C.E.D. projects should be inclusive, strategic and community driven whereby a community takes responsibility for planning and implementing measures to improve their economic future, well being and quality of life.
Eligible Applicants:
- Legal, duly registered not for profit organization, social enterprise or municipality
- Located within North or Central Hastings County or Township of South Algonquin
Eligible Projects:
- Contribute to the economic development of the region and targets community priorities for growth
- Are incremental and can be completed prior to March 31st
- Could include initiatives in areas such as tourism, entrepreneurship, economic opportunities for specific client groups such as (but not limited to) youth, women, indigenous people, job creation, clean technologies and other Government of Canada priorities
Eligible Costs
- Project related costs that can include most capital and / or non-capital expenses
